SCHARF FREEDOM Soft Reins

SCHARF FREEDOM The Soft rein is a new concept designed for and focused on horse welfare. The rein allows, without over-bending, to train at all levels of education. This new technology is designed to eliminate accidental injury to the horse and can be used by all riders, whether they are professionals or amateurs. The new SCHARF FREEDOM Soft reins have a design unit that transforms the rein with “shooting rings” and “coaching rings”. This feature allows it to work in the same way as traditional sliding reins, but without the possibility of unintentional over-bending while maintaining complete calm in the horse’s mouth or as a completely regular rein depending on the horse’s stance and attitude.

From 3 SCHARF FREEDOM soft reins

Training center

Training reins with central connection, this model attaches to the harness's D-ring using the included carabiner. A connector regulator is also included for adjusting and extending the length of the rein.

Lateral training

Training reins with lateral connection, this model can be attached in two places either to the side rings of the saddle with carabiners or it can be attached to the girth with connector regulators without carabiners. Carabiners and connector regulators are included.

Training Jump

Training reins for jumping, this model is attached with a carabiner, which is incorporated into the rein, directly to the ring on the front bridle/martingale on the horse's chest. The distance from the bit to the front bridle/martingale ring should be between 45 and 60 cm.

Innovation

With SCHARF FREEDOM The soft rein prevents the rider from unintentionally over-bending the horse. When working with the rein, there is only one rein in the hands, which provides more comfort and simplicity for the rider, while also reducing the weight in the horse's mouth. The reins also function as a regular rein. When the stop "coach rings" are activated, i.e. the bit rings are hit, a "pulley effect" occurs and it is now not possible to over-bending the horse. When using the rein, the contact of the lower part of the rein is always as gentle as possible, as the elastic part of the rein absorbs much of the pressure. This new technology is designed to eliminate accidental injury to the horse and can be used by all riders, whether professional or amateur. Whereas the traditional sliding rein is designed for use by professional riders. If this type of training is not carried out by an experienced and sympathetic rider, the damage can be very serious and in many cases irreparable. The possible physical problems that can be caused by misuse of the traditional sliding rein; hard pressure in the horse's mouth, overbending of the neck/head and throat. This can create problems with the vertebrae, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves in all of the areas mentioned.

Correct fit

SCHARF FREEDOM The soft rein comes with a standard setting of the coach rings, which immediately matches the chosen length of the rein and the size of the horse. It is important that the coach rings are always placed parallel to each other. To adjust the total length of the reins, place them on the horse; Open the buckle that separates the two reins (guide the reins through the bite rings on each side, from the inside out) and then close the buckle again. With the horse's neck well stretched, the end of the reins should reach the front edge of the saddle. Attach the carabiner to the D-ring. Adjust the length of the reins from the connector regulator (where it is attached to the girth) until the desired length is reached. This can be done as often as necessary.

The purpose of the jumping rein is to control the horse's action while preventing the horse from lifting its head inappropriately, but does NOT prevent the horse from stretching its neck and head during the jump. The jumping model must be used with its own front bridle/martingale. The rein is always attached with the carabiner.

SCHARF FREEDOM The soft rein in all models helps build muscle without the risk of unintentional over-bending of the horse's head/neck and neck, but ensures the horse's head, neck and neck are in the correct position during training.

“THE SOLUTION IS IN YOUR HANDS”

SCHARF The Freedom Soft reins can be used in all disciplines due to their unique characteristics.

Dressage, jumping, eventing, distance, racing, western, touring and leisure riding, cart driving, working from the ground and Icelandic riding.

The rein is unique for its soft contact, great control without the risk of over-bending, the comfort of only having to wear one rein and the fact that the rein “fits” the horse's mouth and minimizes the risk of accidental injury.

Words from Marie Ida Hocke, show jumper

“Control, stability, lightness and quality with a good grip are all what I get, in one and the same rein, as I develop in my training. SCHARF The Freedom soft rein gives the horse optimal freedom, and the horse can move freely. With the rein you can still ride your normal everyday training without it getting in the way. It is made of strong, nice and soft material, which makes it feel good in the hand. For me, it helps me a lot that I can concentrate on the more difficult parts of the training, because the horse cannot lift its head completely. It can be adjusted in several settings, depending on needs and training.

I suffer from pain and problems in my left shoulder after a riding accident and this rein is fantastic! I can now ride without pain afterwards, and I can practice many more exercises than ever before. It is a rein that gives the rider optimal support and the horse a lot of freedom of movement in front.”
