bag SCHARF the brand stands Christina Scharf, a Danish woman who started the brand SCHARF back in 2011. Horses have been faithful guides and a great passion in Christina's life.

The company was started as CJ Proline, an agency company that distributed products from various European equestrian brands. The name was changed in 2019 to SCHARFThe name change was based on the interest in production and distribution of our own brand, and today it stands SCHARF for the production and distribution of SCHARF riding helmets, Freedom girths, Freedom Reins and gloves. Our vision is elegance, solid design with top-notch safety, and the horse's welfare is paramount, including that the horse must be able to perform optimally under the best possible circumstances. We only use the absolute best materials and never compromise. At the same time, we use, as far as possible, recyclable and/or easily biodegradable materials.

Since 2012, also SCHARF handled the BTB sales of Nathalie Horse Care. Behind Nathalie Horse Care is a team of strong, visionary and dynamic women. Horses are also our passion and we are all horse owners, riders and breeders. Our series of care products for horses and riders has been developed in close collaboration with Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. She has an eye for quality and details.

YOUR CHOICE

Christina spent the first many years of her life in Greenland with her parents and her brother. Here her first interest in horses was sparked, as the after-school program included a beautiful little Shetland pony, which she spent many hours with. After a fantastic adventure in Greenland, the whole family moved to North Zealand, where Christina's interest in horses really took off at Frederiksborg Riding Center. Here, all hours after school were spent with the horse Paw and grooming riding school horses. The next many years were spent with education, work and of course lots of horses.

It's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle, don't think too much, but follow your heart and be the person your horse will love to follow everywhere.

Christina Scharf

In 2000, Christina gets Scharf a beautiful daughter, Josephine, who early on developed the same interest as her mother; horses. Christina and Josephine shared this passion for many years, including at Ørholm Ryttergård and at Lyngsø Horses. Josephine and Christina rode together daily, and this became the starting point for designing riding helmets.

The idea was born when Josephine one day says to Christina, “Mom, why do I have to ride with a helmet and you can ride without?” Christina replies, “It’s because you, Josephine, are smart and Mom is stupid.”

Here the importance of proper safety while riding became clear to Christina, which started the hunt for a suitable riding helmet, unfortunately without much success. Against this background, the idea of creating a riding helmet that is comfortable to wear, has a good fit and a helmet that all budgets can afford was born. Since then, even more have come SCHARF products where the horse's welfare is also the priority.
